Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic includes all essential tools for amazing photography on the desktop. With Lightroom Classic users have access to powerful one-click tools and advanced controls to make photos look amazing. Easily organize all the photos on desktop and share them in a variety of ways.

Lightroom Classic offers a nondestructive editing environment, which means the original photographs are never changed. Instead, the changes users make to photographs are stored in metadata as a series of instructions. The latest version of Lightroom Classic enables to organize, edit, and share the photographs from anywhere—on computer, mobile device, or the web. Any changes that make are synced automatically across all devices. So no more mixed up versions, multiple copies, or misplaced originals.

Adobe Lightroom (officially Adobe Photoshop Lightroom) is a family of image organization and image manipulation software developed by Adobe Systems for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and tvOS (Apple TV). It allows importing/saving, viewing, organizing, tagging, editing, and sharing large numbers of digital images. Unlike Photoshop, Lightroom’s edits are always non-destructive by keeping the original image and the edits applied to it saved separately.  Lightroom version 1.0 release in February 19, 2007 and version 6 release on April 21,2015. Then rename as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic (unofficially: version 7.0) officially released on October 2017. Latest version is 2020 (9.2) for Mac/Windows platform, released in November 2019.

Feature summary | Lightroom Classic (February 2020 release)

Some major new features and enhancements in the February 2020 (version 9.2) release of Lightroom Classic.

Improved Raw Default Settings

With this release, we have added the ability to easily configure default settings for raw images in Lightroom Classic. The default settings will affect how images are processed during import and can be observed when you click the Reset button in the Develop module. You can set the defaults to the following:

  • Adobe Default – Uses Adobe default settings
  • Camera Settings – Uses the in-camera settings or profiles as-shot
  • Presets – Uses an Adobe or custom preset of your choice

You can apply the settings via:

  • Master – Applies the selected default for all raw images
  • Camera – Applies default based on specific camera models

Selecting Show serial number will allow you to specify different settings for multiple cameras of the same camera model based on the serial number.

Note:

Raw default settings made prior to version 9.2 will not be migrated when you update to Lightroom Classic 9.2. All the previous settings for already imported images will be retained but all the default settings will reset to Adobe Color. If you need your previous default settings, it is recommended to configure new default settings after updating to Lightroom Classic 9.2.

PSB file support

You can now import, catalog, and edit Large Document format (PSB) file in Lightroom Classic. PSB file in Lightroom Classic supports documents up to 65,000 pixels in long edge and a maximum dimension of 512 megapixels. Camera Raw 12.2 is required to use Lightroom Classic’s Edit in Photoshop feature with PSB images.

You can select Fill Edges option in the Panorama Merge Preview/HDR Panorama Merge Preview dialog box while merging photos to create panorama/HDR panorama.

  1. In the Export dialog box, select the check boxes on the right to select your desired export presets.
  2. Click Export. If necessary, you can specify the export location in the next window.
