This type of employee is self-discipline, productive and the one who follows closely for where the world and trends go. They know all the modern office productivity applications and know how to work in the company, proactive in providing their services for their employer needs. In other words, they know how to deliver value added to let them remain competitive, attractive in the eye for the employer. Of course, you can imagine, when the company needs to axe deadwood to let the company keep growing, who will be in the list employers will put under to keep.
A very quick check you will surprise, most of the people remain only possess generic office application or few industry application they used too, but they never and even brother to invest their leisure time for what will make them shrine in the career or make them in the list of keep, rather than in the list to let go under downsizing and cost cutting corporate exercise, due to they do not possess value add, whether they are consciously aware or not. Get insight for what people did during leisure time, you will know how they become tomorrow. Either they become competitive over time, or being left behind over time.
After the work day, people choose to entertain for the rest of the leisure, whether just surf internet or engaged in endless of social media, compare with someone who will proactive managing a study timetable and keep him or herself under continuous professional development (CPD), to make sure he or she is capable to understand and apply the new capability the future-ready company want.
