The digital transformation (DX) approaching the global multi-operator distributed cloud is not superficial anymore. So today we going to talk about Distributed Cloud: Evolution Toward Global Multi-Operator. To be associate with the globally distributed cloud, the edge clouds that communication service providers (CSPs) grant at access and local sites must maintain a strict set of functions and application programming interfaces (APIs).
This suggests that CSPs need to join forces to make a federated model. To join forces, the first step needed is to get an agreement on the standard mechanisms & demand critical push. The second step will be to acquire agreement for the mechanisms before being able to carry out the solutions and authorize the business models.
The way to develop the cloud edges that CSPs currently contribute is to provide an environment exceeding the current infrastructure that is homogeneous from a consumption perspective but discover through APIs and set up in the same way as the CSPs infrastructure. This would give an in-between step, where CSPs without an edge cloud infrastructure could become a part of the global scale distributed cloud.
With this approach an industry could associate to any CSP access network as opposed to being restricted to certain CSPs. These networks can’t give complete edge characteristics because the networks have the same functional scope.
