Perform ODBC and Update DB connection

Perform ODBC

  1. From windows start menu:

For a 64-bit Windows OS: Select “Run” and enter c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe, then select System DSN tab in the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog

2. Select “WhatsUP” from System DSN then click Configure.  The Configuration wizard will appear

3. Verify that the assigned Name is “WhatsUp and that the Server field is assigned correctly then click next

4. Verify that the “With SQL Server Authentication using login ID and password entered by the user” option is selected.  In the Login field, enter the SQL username. In the Password field, enter the SQL user’s password

5. Verify that Change the default database to is selected and that the WhatsUp database. If not change just click Next

6. Continue to click “next” until you come to the final dialog

7. Click Test Data Source to test the configuration or click OK.

 

Next Step is Update DB Connection

  1. From windows start menu:

For a 64-bit Windows OS: Select “Run” and enter c:\Program Files x86)\Ipswitch\WhatsUp\NMConfig.exe, new popup apprear

2. You will have to login use a sql account with sysadmin rights and click on Connect

3. Tick on “Restart the WhatsUp Services after the update” and Save

4. Click on Finish when complete

5. After finish perform IISreset on CMD

6. IISreset complete
