E-SPIN Group would like to take this season greeting opportunity to wish all our Muslim customers, channel partners and suppliers, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2021. Wish all our Muslim customers and partners to have a remarkable and blessed festive season.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is celebrated right after Ramadan, on the first Shawwal every month in the Islamic calendar. Shawwal is the tenth month in the Islamic calendar and also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast. Some countries including Malaysia called Shawwal as Month of Forgiveness.
Aidilfitri begins at sunset on the night of the first sighting of the crescent moon. If the moon is not observed immediately after the 29th day of the previous lunar month then it is celebrated in the following day. Aidilfitri is celebrated for one to two days, depending on the country. It is forbidden to fast on the Day of Aidilfitri and a specific prayer is nominated for this day. As an obligatory act of charity, money is paid to the poor and the needy (called Zakat) before performing the Aidilfitri prayer.
During Hari Raya Aidilfitri, most people will going back to their hometown gathered together to celebrate with all their family. We will visit close families and friends during this festive season to straighten the relationships with each other. We also will ask for forgiveness if through out the year we doing some mistake with each other intentionally or not.
Most common tradition we will do on Hari Raya Aidilfitri is wearing new clothe especially the traditional cloth, cook traditional food such as rendang and ketupat (usually cook day before festive day). For kids they are given token sums of money, known as “duit raya”, from their parents or elders.
Again, we wishes everyone a great festive season and since, we are still fighting against the COVID-19, please be reminded to be cautious during this festive season by following all SOP and stay safe.
