Therefore, Malaysians, both young and old, should recognize the importance of safeguarding the significance of Merdeka Day.
The celebration of Merdeka Day in Malaysia typically involves the Merdeka Parade, the announcement of the year’s theme – this year’s being “Malaysia MADANI: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan” (Malaysia MADANI: Unity’s Determination Fulfills Hope) – and various other festivities organized by different companies and organizations. These include Merdeka contests such as drawing and photography competitions, as well as Merdeka Sales.
